UnitedHealthcare CEO shot dead in Midtown Manhattan

Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was shot and killed by a masked man near a Midtown Manhattan hotel Wednesday morning, according to police sources.

The shooting, which was reported around 6:40 a.m., appears to be targeted but police do not know why, sources said.

I do not condone murder, however United Health is an absolute nightmare of insurance company to work with. I live in a State which they underwrite our medicaid and the rate of denial, hoops, and rigamoral for even the basics has become ridiculous even as providers have received high return on services 7th in the nation. I don't condone it, but I understand how this could happen.
