Treyarch is the guy at work that works his butt gets rewarded with even more everyone gets to sit back and enjoy the free ride

Treyarch releases genuinely fun and arcade style cods, they’re all fast paced and none of their games have truly sucked. Even with Activision making them cash grab each game they release bundles that genuinely catch my intrest and are seriously cool. Treyarch knows how to have fun with their games which is what cod should be

just to clarify, Cold war was made on the Bo4 engine not the IW engine

Didn't they also get screwed over during BO3s development? They've been getting shafted by Activision for nearly a decade now

I've been saying it for years, IW gets treated like the golden child since the last 2 games they got all the time in the world todo, while 3arc gets pushed and shoved todo everything last minute.

Imagine being a Treyarch dev and you find out infinity ward devs get paid more

They gotta let Treyarch breathe and do their own thing

I actually think Cold War is the best feeling modern cod that we've had in a while. Still play it almost daily and the movement is so smooth, guns have a good balance, etc.

Treyarch is the good employee who puts in extra hours only to be rewarded with more work while IW brownnoses the boss, steals ideas and gets rewarded with a promotion.

The worst of those is Blackout 2 canned before launch. An alternating cycle between Warzone and Blackout every year would have been better for both as they play very differently and will offer the change that gives variety and freshness.

Treyarch was given Vanguard Zombies 5 months before launch when they were literally in the middle of making Cold war Zombies. I don't think Outbreak had even come out yet. And then they still had to make Mauer and Forsaken. And while they were making that they, they were making Vanguard as well. I don't blame Treyarch AT ALL for the abomination that was Vanguard Zombies.

Ever since Black Ops 4, treyarch has been given the whip with every game. Cold War came out pretty good even with a buggy launch, but the zombies was amazing all things considered. Then vanguard came and it really was a testament to Treyarch being on the back burner.

Something to keep in mind when comparing the studios and speculating about how activision looks at their studios is the fact that regardless of how we feel about their quality infinity ward games make much more money than treyarch games do. I imagine that’s why they get a lot more rest than other studios do.

The difference is that treyaech actually listens to what the communtity wants. People hated vamgaurd zombies. They gave us round based

As a zombies fan, I remember when it was announced that Treyarch were making Vanguard zombies. So many people in the zombies community were happy, but I was just worried that they were getting pushed straight from Cold War onto the next game, and I knew that Vanguard zombies just wouldn't compare because they wouldn't have time to actually make anything. (Granted, I couldn't know just how bad it was actually going to be.) It just sucks, because they were put in a situation to make this mode that couldn't be at its best given how little time they had, time they could've spent actually working on zombies for their next game to make sure that is actually great. We'll see how that turns out, I suppose. I do have high hopes given they have an extra year this time.

Also, I wish they were still able to use their engine. I understand why Activision wants them all on the same engine, and I'm sure it's easier to make everything connect in Warzone when it's all on one engine, but like you said here, it all just feels the same now. Plus, I just preferred the Treyarch engine. IW's engine is really at making the graphics feel more realistic, but Treyarch's felt a bit more stylized. Not that it wasn't realistic too, but the art style allowed colors to pop more and the characters we were playing as would stand out a bit more. It just felt more in line with the arcade nature of COD, and we haven't really been able to see that since BO4 unfortunately.

How I see these companies in terms of a family by Activision:

Treyarch: Older Brother being forced to help the other 2 studio
Infinity Ward: The youngest child loved no matter what they do
SledgeHammer: The middle child, forgotten and not really payed attention to

That is my opinion though so if you disagree that is fine

I just hope they revive COD one more time with COD 2024 😂😂

Hear me out, Black Ops Cold War should have been delayed to 2021, Vanguard should have been completely cancelled and MWII should have been delayed to 2023

I understand remakes of these cods aren’t actually remakes but I still want a genuine world at war remake. A GENUNE remake
