Can we talk about how amazing the Cold War sound track was. Best ever imo. Not to mention the fact that they brought back all of the old Black Ops series tracks in the Battle Pass. Wish MW would do the same thing. Hearing 'Pentagon' from Black Ops 1 hits you right in the feels and gives you nostalgia overload ❤

The best COD game of the last 5 years IMO. What a slammer. 80s theme, Campaign was great, MP was classic COD, and Zombies was awesome. Too bad we didn't get a true year 2 for this one.

Cold War has some of the best post Launch content such as the added perks, tier 5, easter eggs (for outbreak) new maps for outbreak, Patch updates, New Alt ammo, new tacticals and supports, super ee, rage inducer, new guns.

I loved this game, and the fact that treyarch did get the short end of the stick and made this game in only a few months is crazy, I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite or one of the best but it’s definitely top 10 for me

The fact that I was able to play as Woods & Mason in zombies is what finally won me over. Aside from that, it was definitely one of the best CoD games I've ever played overall since BO2. As you said, I can still see myself playing this several years later. Top tier for me!

There’s one mission in this game that I adore and believe that it’s one of the best missions ever in CoD. That’s the secret spy mission where you’re in the Russian building and you have to try and get Adler (and I think woods, probably belle). I remember playing this mission and the feeling of playing was amazing. The rest of the campaign is average but this is the diamond in the rough.

Hey Chop, you may not see this but. Your longform content has been wonderful to listen to while doing other things. You've become one of my favorite youtubers. Cheers.

Cold War is a top 5 CoD for me. And the first CoD I got a platinum trophy on. The campaign was stellar, one of my favorite ever, the Zombies was the first Zombies installment that I really got into, and even the MP was good when reverse boosting.

I really liked how accessible Zombies was. I mean I’m married, I have 2 jobs, I’m a leader in my church. So for me to be able to come home and enjoy a game of zombies without having to grind for hours to figure out how to do everything was great. I loved that I could have fun and kill zombies without being extremely frustrated because “I don’t have time to get better.” It was a lot of fun for me. Maybe they can add a difficulty setting like in BO2 where you have easy for casual players and hard for streamers. Make the Easter Egg on the hard one so it’s more fun to search for.

I think a lot of people missed that Alder is voiced by Master Chief

CW scorestreaks worked for me because they reward you for more than just killing things. Disabling enemy streaks and specialist equipment, and capturing/playing objectives also gets you points that work towards your scorestreaks

I’m a total Cold War history buff, it’s arguably my favorite part of 20th century history to explore and learn about, the espionage and fear of all out nuclear war between the two powers, is so exciting to look into, and this game was absolutely a treat for someone like me and is easily my top 5 COD campaigns now.

Criminally underrated game. Genuinely my favourite COD since Black Ops 1.

Its nice to finally see someone with a level headed take on this game, most creators still say or perceive this game as if it was still in the state it was at launch

I actually quite like the out of game progression of Cold War, it gave a good reward for high rounding - the ability to high round that little bit easier next time now that you can upgrade a perk or skill. One thing I will say though, there should be a hardcore option for the next installment; this hardcore mode should start you off with a set default weapon and have all perks set to like level 2 etc etc... Hardcore mode should also be the default for the leaderboards and scoreboards, whereas normal should be for casual fun or players who enjoy the newer features

Bought cold war 2 days ago now, loving it after playing mw2 for the past few months. Found your channel the other day too and watched all these cod reviews. Loving them! I was wondering when the cold war episode was coming and I woke up today to find you had posted it a few hours before (: cheers dude ! Keep up the good work

I enjoyed the game a lot during its life cycle, my only gripes with it ever was the visual bugs throughout the UI and Friends list etc, that literally never got fixed. The zombies was good but felt barebone and honestly just different than the original black ops Zombie modes. MP was really good aside from the score streak system that just didnt reset upon death. Overall very underrated game and honestly the best game weve had in the past 4 years.

I think the reason the emblem editor doesn't exist anymore is because they want to sell you them instead and not for any other reason

This was actually my very first cod. I never played as a kid, got into it now as a young adult. In spite of its problems, it’s now one of my all time favorite games ever. I loved the campaign (especially since I didn’t know about the whole BO1 mind twisting stuff), multiplayer I continue to insist is a lot of fun despite it getting so much hate, and zombies was incredible, even if clearly rushed. Treyarch put so much passion into this game and it really shows, despite the time crunch. This one game led me to go back and buy every previous black ops on sale to learn all about zombies as an entire series and have no regrets. I have both mastery camos on Cold War (nearly every weapon including DLC, just 3 more to go) and have almost finished Zombies Dark matter on BO4 and am master prestige 250 there.
However after Vangaurd came out (which i dont think is nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be but is still CLEARLY not a great entry) and, while I find it to be casual fun, didn’t quite hit the same marks I mostly stuck with CW. I never bought MW2, it doesn’t look interesting enough, didn’t have the most fun on the trial days, and no zombies. Maybe when its really cheap for a campaign run (i borrowed MW19 to play the campaign and its campaign was also awesome), but I want to avoid being caught up in the COD cycle. I’ll probably keep buying the Treyarch entries and skip the rest.

Cold War is, in one word, promising. For a game that was made on a budget, both monetary and time wise, it’s genuinely solid, and gives me high hopes for what they’re cooking for the 2024 release, I genuinely think the next experience is going to be fantastic
