Black folks don’t have ADHD!

No one has any medication for ADHD around my way. Apparently it has to be special ordered from Europe or some place.

I'm sorry to hear your local pharmacy doesn't keep those meds on hand. I do have some advice though. Most insurances these days allow for a mail order pharmacy so you can have the medications delivered directly to your house. Most mail order pharmacies also deliver to P.O. boxes if theft is a concern. Most insurances actually have lower copays for meds through mail order as well.

Saw the title and thought it was something else and then I realized the irony 😁 if you let pharmacies tell it we sure don't have ADHD. I called ahead before as to not waste my time if my meds weren't available at a particular pharmacy and they told me they weren't allowed to answer that question. 😵

Terrible, I'm so sorry. Just watched a girl explain how the pharmacy said her insurance needs to approve the dam ADHD prescription her doctor already prescribe. Some of us are trying to stay well with our meds.

Thx for posting bruh…! You’re the 3rd black man I’ve been able to find in my 4weeks of regular searching online and YouTube (black men discussing adhd). You made great points also. Late in life I learned about dyslexia and was pretty sure I had dyslexia, so at age 51, I self sought a clinical neuropsych eval. The eval confirmed my suspicion and suggested that I likely also have undiagnosed adhd and that I seek further adult adhd evaluation from local service providers. I have been looking testing/ treatment provider for testing for a few weeks now…. And not getting any real assistance. Any advice on where adults can be evaluated for adhd? I saw adhdonline does evals online but they don’t offer any other service/ assistance in my state. Any advice is welcomed !

Now that that I’ve been reading about adhd….. and yes, I have high markers historically and currently that align with MANY items (good & difficult) seen in children and adults with adhd. I need proper eval so I can move from there, it will help me on so many level personally & professionally.

My man! Fuh real, hit me up! I'm on Vyvanse 70 mg right now in Canada, and TRUST ME, it wasn't easy to get a proper diagnosis... never mind srips for meds.
I feel ya, and I sympathize. This sh*t right here? Gots to change! Now that some of us in the black community are startin to trust, and come to these doctors that been doin us wrong for so long, we can't get meds and treatment we need specific for us as individuals.
I have a way. I have some answers for some of us, not all, if you're open, willing, and ready. And if you aready there, then cool! You on your way, if not.... well....

This is concerning. These doctors get people hooked on addictive meds for there conditions just to leave them without it itching for it.
