I saw The Golden Bowl, a TV production that was presented on Masterpiece Theater, a PBS program. Gayle was stunning, making such an impression on me that I never forgot her. I did not see any of the movies or TV shows that she made later, yet I know who she is after all these years. We were born in the same year, 1943, and I am very sorry to hear about her death. Some people are memorable; she was one of them.
