Don't drip your pipes, sponsored by the local plumber company 😂

Is the city going to pay if my pipes burst? Of course not.

The city isn’t paying for pipe repairs….my faucets are getting dripped…

These same news channels told everyone, thru their guest plumbers, to let the water drip earlier this morning and yesterday. They are telling people two things. Let it drip and don't let it drip.

Not my problem. I pay taxes. That sounds like a YOU problem. I will drip my faucets.. Unless Houston is going to pay for ALL DAMAGES to my home and furnishings when my pipes burst

I would rather boil water than pay for broken pipes.

If just dripping a faucet will cause a problem, the city has a problem...

Sooo due to poor city planning people should risk bursting their pipes that way the city planners doesn’t look bad and the city doesn’t have to invest in upgrades. I don’t even live in Houston and this upsets me

The problem is… we live in Houston and all of our homes aren’t built for this… take my home… EVERY SINGLE FAUCET is on an exterior wall, except three of them. Opening cabinets will NOT be enough to keep those pipes from freezing. Soooo… those faucets will be drippin and I’ll be boiling water if necessary. Simple science says moving water is harder to freeze so we’re going with simple science at this address. It kept my pipes from freezing in 2021…

Seems this is a way to shift costs from the city to citizens if you as me.

I’d rather drip and boil water than have to deal with insurance over busted pipes.

I worked with someone who didn’t drip his faucets last hard freeze we had. 15 different leaks and 100k I repairs later he was wishing he had.

How is Houston different from the rest of the US with cold weather? I found this absolutely baffling.

Being in a apt I’m worried that people will actually listen to this. Let me make sure my renters insurance is up to date
