I have done mindless eating for a long time. Until I went through a time when I didn't feel like eating at all or had to force myself to eat. This unknowledgeable fasting or slow eating I recognized how my body felt much better and during slow eating I really became aware of my food and like you said the textures, aroma and how the food felt in my mouth. Unfortunately my problem in these times was emotional distress, not a hectic schedule. It did make me aware I was not being productive on dealing with what was my upset feelings. It's important in what you are saying in more ways than one. ❤✌️😃

Yes, often I'm rushing to care for someone. I prefer to eat alone so that I can enjoy every bite.

This is why the phones have to be kept out of our hands as we focus on our health and in many cases reconnecting our relationships with family, over dinner ❤

It also helps food become much more enjoyable and helps keep your weight in check, maybe to the decimal!

We should also be aware of who we are eating — and make the switch to what we are eating. If we want to be happier we should choose food that caused the least amount of abject pain and suffering of others. Compassion and impermanence are the pillars of mindfulness.

I’ve just stopped eating. I can’t figure out which foods have poisons in them and which ones don’t so I just stopped eating completely. Figured that was better than continuing to eat with what we know about all the processed foods and the pesticides. Idk
