I had a group of them living in my last Garden. Grey and brown ones.
I took a waterresistant marker and wrote Names on their backs. It was really nice and funny to observe, where Berta, Margarethe, Bernhard, Fridolin or Kurt, etc, spent their days or if they would show up after long winters ...
When I sometimes found an empty one, I painted it like you do and gave them unexpected places in my Garden.
