Rishi Sunak has published a list of his financial interests after the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards launched an investigation into his declarations.
The Cabinet Office has just published the latest "List of Ministers’ Interests" which spells out Mr Sunak’s memberships and the relevant interests of his close family members.
It states: "The Prime Minister’s wife is a venture capital investor. She owns a venture capital investment company, Catamaran Ventures UK Limited, and a number of direct shareholdings."
It emerged at the start of this week that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards had launched an investigation into Mr Sunak over a possible failure to declare an interest.
The investigation relates to shares Akshata Murty, Mr Sunak’s wife, holds in the firm Koru Kids which was boosted by childcare announcements in the Budget, and whether Mr Sunak properly declared the interest.
Downing Street said after the investigation was made public that the Prime Minister would clarify how the matter was declared as a ministerial interest, rather than to the Commons.
