Iceland Volcano Eruption Update; Large Eruption Begins, Lava Flowing Towards Blue Lagoon

Показать описание
A large volcanic eruption just began on Iceland's populated Reykjanes peninsula, sending lava flows towards the Blue Lagoon & the Svartsengi Geothermal Power Plant. While these two regions are protected by lava walls, lava is still likely to block off two major roads. Currently, a 4 kilometer or approximately 13,000 foot long fissure is erupting lava along its entire length at a high rate. This eruption is likely to continue for at least another 7 days, as discussed in today's video.

A special thanks to afarTV for allowing me to use their livestream footage of the Reykjanes eruption.

Crazy, I was watching the live cam this morning and could see excavators and trucks building a dyke. Just little wisps of gas were showing. I go to sleep and wake up for work and this is what pops up on yt.

Our Earth is such a precious jewel.
When these fissures open & the molten magma spews up like liquid flame against the darkness of night it is breathtakingly beautiful!
The Earth doesn't just destroy with weather in wind, rain, and fire.
Earth creates new earth with the boiling blood from the heart of her core.

Thanks for that info on flow pathways—your report is most helpful for understanding the dangers to town, power plant and spa.

You'll want to make a note that it just started to produce phreatomagmatic as there is a intensifying black smoke coming out at edge of northern fissure.
