I don't have cable. I can't afford Netflix, but my mum said I can use hers. That bills and phone change I did, I'm now saving $40.00 on my phone bill. I don't have anything to donate or sell. But my money is still tight.

I actually started this mini challenge 3 weeks ago. We do not miss it at all. We decided to cancel it all together. And moved my internet business somewhere else because we received a better deal for the same thing. It really aggravated me that when I called and being a customer for over ten years they wouldn't match the other companies price. We left and very happy!

I haven’t had cable for years. I don’t use any steaming—YouTube (basic) works fine for me…but it helps that I grew up not watching TV, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out (except sports…sigh.)

Cut out my cable about 5 years ago. Best thing I ever did. Scary at first but so worth it!

I canceled cable a year ago and just pay for internet and I don’t miss it lol. Streaming is the main form of entertainment, so I watch YouTube, Netflix and Hulu as my tv. Saved an extra $80+ cutting cable

Haven't had cable ever. Had an antenna we would send my daughter put to turn until you had to buy the box to get anything. Then we just used our tv to watxh videos. Now I don't have a tv. I mostly watch budgeting and cash stuffing on youtube on my phone. I do have a couple subscriptions for online news outlets but am a news junkie so have to keep those, and my Audible. Have gotten rid of my Amazon Prime, Thrive and Medium subscriptions in the last year for a tidy savings.
Was very glad to have a year of my salary in savings when I got laid off in April 2020 due to the c-word . Decided to take make it an early retirement and haven't looked back. 20:46

I was paying over $150/month for cable and internet. I finally got fed up and cancelled the cable. I bought a Roku TV and pay internet only. Now I pay $50/month. I have YouTube hooked up and there are free movies you can watch on this. I also have my guilty, little pleasure-Netflix-but I have the basic package. I did away with Amazon Prime, Audible, and am looking for a less expensive car insurance. We are cutting corners everywhere we can think of and we're doing great.

My husband isn’t giving up cable—-no way no how—so I have just learned to live with it. Accepting the things I cannot change!

I’m disabled from birth on SSDI .. I saved the $1000 emergency fund.. after doing so once a month I add to it as a bill…. Many save loose change but this money should be a rainy day fund.. I have mine in a high yield acct.. I started this small acct in January with $5 .. it’s already at $260.. so with that being said these challenges work as long as you develop discipline.. once you see your money start to build you will try harder to save…. I can’t do 10% monthly but 4% goes into savings before I pay rent.. without any government assistance..

I turned off cable almost eight years ago and I purchased my own router back in 2009 when I realized they were charging me $5.00 a month to "rent" theirs and I was like no thank you I will buy my own. I consider them gimmicks and I do not do gimmicks / they are hidden charges within your bill that you don't think to ask why.

We have no cable no streaming and now we do shadow puppets for the kids at night instead of watching tv. We call the shadow puppet show The Young and the Restless.

Just kidding we just get books from the library or watch you tube 😂

Also finally ate up the pantry challenge so this weekend we actually have to grocery shop. I need to count how much money we saved as it was a substantial amount 😮

I always enjoy your cash stuffings I decided to take a page from your book and take 60$ a paycheck which is about 10% of my paychecks each week and put them towards my low income saving challenges and all those completed challenges will go towards my emergency fund ❤
