As a greek person, we read the whole Odyssey in school. That is Odysseus greatest victory. Not the war, not the suitors, getting home to his family was all he truly wanted and this is his victory cry.

You could tell he hit exactly what he wanted to hit with this song, the sadness of missing 20 years with his son, but the Joy if seeing him again and being able to hold him.
