Only thing I forgot was torque bar. And good breaks. Other than that my 1990s mountain bike with 1500w motor hits 45mph. Good video

This is the number one best e bike kit installation video I have watched. I have installed 500W's-3000W kits and have not found a video on YouTube yet, that explains the battery connections, because to many people the battery connection is the most confusing part for the entire installation . Great job

Very cool. I’m doing a kit from Amazon. I just ordered it. Suppose to be 1200w and 36mph. I have a 52v 30ah battery and would be happy with 28-30mph on my old trek

I had the same issue with the battery mount. I was able to mount it the right way up by removing the plastic cover on the mounting, that exposes additional mounting brackets. Then put the plastic cover back on.

Great video. I've got a 500w e bike, but definitely want to build a 1000w one on my old mountain bike. This video made up my mind! Thanks again. Have fun riding yours!

I have a 1000w kit in Garage, I'm running a 250 geard at the moment but my 1000w is good for 35mph i just didn't like the weight and everything wears out fast at high speed on a bike 😅 🤠🤘👍, but excellent for the money as most of us haven't got thousands to spend on a ready made, i love kits 🙏🤠🤘👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

Greeting, it's a very good place to put the battery and controller there. The bike needs balancing for easy control and tire wear mitigation.🙂

I wasn't sure what the purpose of the torque arm was. Glad I watched this first. Putting a 700c wheel/1500 watt motor on my diamondback hybrid.

If you are planning to upgrade to a DUAL MOTOR, best set up is to use a Gear motor as the base and a Gearless motor to use as a turbo Booster ( 1500 to 2000watt ) . This set up provides build very practical of using gear motor within residential speed zones and using turbo Booster when on blvds or straightaway streets on long distance trips of a 5 to 10 mile or longer. Gearless motors only go so far on full throttle of a 3 to 5 mile range before the motor cuts off to cool down a few minutes. Using a Gear motor will decrease overall torque output( saves battery and not overheating motors) When on turbo Booster , you can have the gear motor on cruise control as regenerating battery power kicks in ( only batteries or factory e bikes that do this). The weight of this set up is ideal besides performance that is equal or more vs the 3000$ and higher e bikes.

With the type of battery you have (Hailong), you could have a controller hidden in the battery cradle with the control cables coming out of the it instead of just a battery connector. This eliminates the cabling between the battery and motor, and reduces clutter on your bike. The downside is that the controller is slightly less powerful than what you have (22A vs 30A).

Thanks for the video I now know how to fit mine and i wasn’t sure about the torque arm.

Thanks for the video. Very very good one.. 48v 12-20 ah will probably fit in most frames. If not you could maybe use a bicycle baggage carrier (min 25 kg load), And mount a small motorcycle topbox, that could hold the controller and a 10-60 ah battery..

At 33mph on a mountain bike, I'd be wearing a helmet bro 😉 Fantastic tutorial! I'm gonna make my 250w Hyper bike into a 2000w beast. The only problem I have is that the original 250w battery is integrated into the frame. I'll work it out, lol 😁
