The government has already in a way started doing this by taxing anything over $600 using a card 3rd party service like PayPal, venmo, Facebook marketplace, having a garage sale where you take cards you now pay taxes on something you already were taxed on previously. They know how much you paid your roommate for rent and now the roommate has to file a 1099 to be taxed it.

Has everyone forgot that states can create their own physical currencies? As long as it is recognized by the state, it can be used within the state's borders for all domestic purchases.

Digital currency will give government total control & taxation. This will eliminate getting paid under the table while taxation will be unavoidable.

It won't necessarily matter what your ESG score is because they'll control what you buy & how much of it you're allowed to buy if they allow you to even participate based on ESG score.

Paper currency will be eliminated & made no longer tender.
