Okay, I’m with the defendant here. I have an aunt who takes in stray people and then micro-controls them until there’s a fight. Some people only want to “help” others so they can boss them around. The cable bill thing was ridiculous. Hope the defendant has stable housing now.

JJ actually WANTED to help the defendant. JJ was HOPING she had pictures so she could help her because she sensed she was telling the truth. But JJ only deals with facts and evidence. She would've won her counter suit.

I do feel sorry for the defendant. I think it was more than just paying half of the cable bill. Looks like the plaintiff was using her to pay half of everything despite the boyfriend being there full time. JJ busted him when she asked his address.

The defendant broke my heart a little when she was trying not to cry at the end. I believe her. I was in her shoes...living in a hotel, couldn't afford to stay there anymore, only had money to last a few more days. An older lady who worked the desk nights approached me one day and very kindly asked what my situation was. She ended up doing for me what the plaintiff in this case did, only she wasn't a weirdo, lol. I stayed with her for three or four months, and she gave me a good deal on rent...her husband had passed away not long before, and my rent money helped her out too. I truly believe God placed her in my life. I don't know what I would've done without her. I really hope the defendant got back on her feet and that things have turned around for her.

Plaintiff used defendant's situation to benefit her financial needs. Denying to pay for things you're not using is right. Plaintiff didn't have the courage to ask the boyfriend to share the bill, so she asked someone who was already struggling.
