So, let me get this straight: these two were a couple. He has a son from a prior marriage/relationship. Around Christmas time, his ex-wife calls and threatens to strip him of visitation rights, so his then-girlfriend encourages him to spend the holiday season with his son. She even offers to drive him over, and lends him her camera to take some pictures of their time together. After he's dropped off, he never goes back. Their relationship is over—no explanation, no conversation, no indication that it wasn't on good terms. She claims that when he left to go see his son, the two weren't broken up _per se, _ but her intonation and her choice of words suggests that she somehow knew he wasn't coming back.

^Do I have that right?

Does anybody else feel like that story doesn’t make a whole lot of sense?
