Yeah my mom did this with me while I was growing up. Though I really was sick in ways, which made it easier to cover up. My mom just made it worse by making sure I was misdiagnosed, withholding life-saving medication when I was on my deathbed, etc. no child should have to suffer through this. I’m so glad stories like these are becoming more mainstream, because now these cases can be more easily recognized for what they truly are: cases of horrific abuse.

My son with special needs used to attend a special needs nursery where a little boy was also being made ill by his mother. Sadly the mum even faked being attacked to get the heat off herself when her husband was close to finding out. Once the cat was out of the bag he dumped her ass and took the boy to live somewhere else to start a new life. She got time in prison. How can ppl do this to their kids??? It sickens me.

My paternal Grandma always made sure to draw attention when people in our family died. She did it for years after her oldest son died, then again after her youngest died. Then when her husband died, she really upped the attention seeking, even though she didn't love my grandfather. When my Dad eventually passed, she tried to tell me what we were going to do with his body. I checked her really quick and told her that we weren't having a funeral, because my Dad knew she would turn the attention to her and only her. While everything she did wasn't for money, she wanted the attention to be on her and her alone. And I know that if attention had been on my Mom, she would have twisted it to come back to her. People who do this and what those suffering from Munchausen, is really sad.

No offense whatsoever but, that school nurse is the one who potentially saved the little girl. Gypsy's story definitely played a role in making people more aware of cases like hers but, if the school nurse wouldn't have acted on her suspicions the girl would no doubt still be going through the same awful circumstances. Yes, do it protect the children. This is honestly so disturbing to the point where they could kill their kids and they don’t give a shit. This is happened before and it will happen again please protect the children thank you to whoever called and put concern for that little girl we must protect our most vulnerable population.

As someone who actually had leukemia at 19 months old, that's a disgusting thing to do to a child. If she was really feeding her medications, that WILL permanently impact her. My cancer meds have impacted so many areas of my life over ten years after I had my last round of chemo. The fact that she intentionally put her daughter through that and the humiliation is horrific.
