Just want to add not all degrees are 3 years. Some are as long as 6. Also you can take MORE than 4 as levels or a levels, just more people stick to 3

This is just confusing me even more. I am from the US and the way we have it totally different. Let me show you the way it is

Preschool - ( 2-3)
Elementary School

Kindergarten - ( 3 - 4)
First Grade - ( 5-6)
Second Grade - ( 6 -7)
Third Grade - ( 7-8)
Fourth Grade ( 8-9)
Fifth Grade - ( 9 - 10)

Middle School
Sixth Grade - ( 11 -12)
Seventh Grade - ( 12-13)
Eighth Grade - ( 13 -14)

High School
Freshman - (14 - 15)
Sophmore - ( 15-16)
Junior - ( 16 -17) - Prom - A big dance where everyone dresses up and it's really fun
Senior - ( 17-18) - Graduation - Where you have finally finished all 13 years of schooling

In my school, you have finals two to three times a year. Each year you have finals.
Collage is from ages 18 - 22

One big mistake here. There is no such thing as a British Education system. Education is devolved to the four Home Nations. These systems are becoming more and more diverse.
