my camera which is the Sony A7 IV uses a hybrid autofocus (AF) system that combines phase-detection and contrast-detection points. Specifically, it features:

759 phase-detection AF points that cover approximately 94% of the image area.
425 contrast-detection AF points that work together with the phase-detection points for accurate and reliable focusing.
This hybrid AF system allows for fast and precise focusing, making it well-suited for a variety of shooting situations, including low-light conditions, fast-moving subjects, and video recording. The A7 IV also supports Real-time Eye AF (for both humans and animals), Real-time Tracking, and other advanced autofocus features.

Fantastic!! Sooo helpful!. Now my question...lol I have a DJI Mavic Pro Drone (build in 2016/2017). Can you tell me, which AF Technology it uses to produce (or try to), in focus video. I am not finding this info?? I know the 2.2 fixed apeture is definately a problem, right up front. But flying over changing landscapes, this drone is a total pain to get consistent - in focus - videos. And, of course this is realized at home, on the PC, when I start cussing. Thanks for any insight into this. I'm subscribing!!

It was quite understandable - thanks. I wonder why the head fellow at Panasonic will not consider - say a hybrid sys - but are intransigent about using 'only' a contrast based sys ? I think the camera buying public would desire a phase / hybrid sys & Panasonic's sales numbers would defiantly be aided.
