Glad someone else is saying they should release a 5" on-camera monitor. If they included an integrated TX module in the on-camera SDI monitor, with a loop-through so you could connect either an EVF or second monitor, that would be amazing and really cut down on cables. Transmission systems are so bulky, cable-heavy, and a PITA to mount and manage.

I actually really appreciate the way you guys talk about these products while actually testing them right here in front of our eyes and talking about it throughout the video. Its Amazing! Instead of most of the YT'ers out there just sitting on a chair and just talking about specs and what it does, literally making you fall asleep! As a professional focus puller, I really want to buy this system but there are some absolute limits on it which prevent me from pulling the trigger:

1. No run/stop. This is absolutely essential on a professional shoot where you often wont be able to get to the camera body to hit the big red button. (eg the top of a jib, rostrum, underwater housing etc)

2. No separate iris unit. DOPs will always expect to be able to control iris remotely themselves when needed. I can't hire this system on to a job and then tell a DOP sorry, no.

3. You ony get the lidar readout on a DJI monitor. Well these monitors aren't very sharp so you actually rely on the lidar readout. But also then you have to add the transmission and the cable harness onto your camera build which is terrible. Then on top of this you'll need to add a real TxRx system somewhere to transmit out to the rest of the monitors on set.

4. No motor height adjustment. Nightmare waiting to happen

5. USB-C cables. Not a dealbreaker itself but I wouldnt like to rely on them.

I hope these problems get solved because I really want an affordable LiDar system.

There is a huge REC button, but totally no cables for Arri, Panavision, RED and other actual Cinema Cameras. Will they be releasing those? Or just a button for mirrorless camera only?

I have worked with the original Lidar the past year with the RS3 Pro. It's fantastic! I really wish DJI would give FEET, not just METERS as an option when calibrating the lens settings. Also the fact that the new Lidar can detach from the cold shoe bracket is a great bonus when trying to mount with unique rigs.

One of the update notes says that they added support for the previous generation focus motor and lidar units. Will they sell just the new handle separately to allow customers to still use their older gear?

My experience with Lidar on the Ronin 4D was not good. It could only see like 8-10 feet in front of it for auto focus and even then it would hunt. Maybe I'm spoiled coming from Sony's AF.

Actually, with the High Bright monitor, when you add the SDI-out module, does it transmit the LIDAR overlay to any monitor? I know there's still a big issue of signal delay (DJI Transmission is not 0-delay unlike Teradeks or Vaxis), but having LIDAR overlay on any monitor would be awesome!
