Thanks a lot. I did it in about 2 hours. My only doubt is that I used glue on the home button bracket, which may not work so well… buying a little Tessa tape would be sensible. My tip would be that after heating up the edges of the glass with a hairdryer (or better tool) take a lot of care removing the screen around the home button, as the strip could get damaged. There’s a sense of nihilism when all the glass starts cracking and violence can set in, but don’t rush - removing the screen and glass is the most time consuming and unpleasant part. If all connectors and brackets are preserved once the glass is off, the rest is totally doable with this top man’s instructions.

Awesome instructions. Was able to replaced and extremely shattered screen. Worst part was cleaning the edges and shards. Took 3 hours.

Good video! Just one thing: you should not put a battery blocker under the connector itself, although it is plastic you can still damage the pins.
Just drop some IPA under the board next tot the pins and slide your blocker under the board itself!

I remember when I was a kid and I got my iPad broken and my parents took it to bad apple and the next day i got it but they left dust under the screen so that corner of the screen wasn’t usable

I get with With my new screen that I purchased, I also received a new Home button, which is recommended to use? (Has new touch ID) As far as we know, every touch ID is identical

9:49 I was thinking about repairing my IPad that way, but after THAT sentence I decided that doing this is, in fact, NOT worth the risk for me...

Amazing job, please note that next time you work with an ipad, put a pair of nitrile gloves, this helps with the oil from your hands to not touch the display.💪👍

No matter what I do when I open up the iPad I always get dots on the LCD. I don’t know if it’s because because the glass scratched it or because of heat.

yes im a kid and i cracked my ipad 9 and my dad bought an screen to fix it. when he reached the battery step, he thought you pry on the battery not put something under it. So now the ipad is boot looping and we dont know what to do. Kinda of a waste of money. There goes 250 pounds. (Edit i actually fixed it but i accidentally ripped the rear camera and the home button but touch id still works.
