I only have one instance of this happening that I particularly hate, which was in Mario and Luigi Paper Jam, where they didn't put paper Luigi as a playable character because controlling 4 characters was too hard, which is a very upsetting thing to me because Luigi is the best character

He could’ve been used as idk the one who looks after the ship during the day, and he plucks pikmin automatically, although if you control him and try to make him leave the drake he just moves back inside the circle of which the pikmin need to be in unless they die at the end of the day

I know most of the comments talking about how Pikmin 4 has so many playable characters are from like a month ago, but it's very obvious from both the trailers and the demo that you are not playing as all of them. Literally just 2 counting Oatchi and yourself, in the end.
