Although the United States won a gold medal in women’s basketball, Cheryl Reeve did a poor job of managing her remarkably talented roster at the Olympics. She proved that she should not return in the same role for 2028.

The US Olympic team almost lost to France even though they were favored by double digits. Anybody could be blamed but it is usually the coach. In this case Cheryl Reeve should get 100% of the blame. She has been a poor coach all season and she hasn't learned anything. She has only proven that she doesn't deserve another chance. She will always be a lousy coach. She made bad decisions through the whole Olympics. Because of her performance in the Olympics, she should be let go by the WNBA.
