People quit acting for many reasons. Perhaps they're done with their time in the spotlight and they want to live a more private life. Perhaps they are no longer passionate about acting, and they want to move on to something else in their career. In the worse cases, actors stop acting because they passed away or died. According to Jack Nicholson's family, he does suffer from dementia, can no longer memorize lines. He rarely leaves his home and his children are caring for him. Love you, Jack!! Thanks for all the great entertainment.

Jack Gleeson decided he didn't want to act anymore while HE WAS STILL PLAYING JOFFREY! I remember when he said it. The man received hate from insane fans who can't seperate actors from characters. I don't blame him one bit for taking his money and leaving. Smartest move of his life.

Not everyone finds Hollywood life appealing. Fame and fortune has it's down side including everyone being in your business and having to live in a dog and pony show at all times! Many people choose to leave the dog and pony show, realizing that a normal life of anonymity is preferable to having to always be "ON" and get out as fast as they can! Kudos to them!!!
