In this video, I discuss Sunlu / JAYO PLA Plus and PETG Filaments. Sunlu has been one of the top manufacturers of 3D Printer Filament for several years. I have been using Sunlu Filament for at least 3 or 4 years and over that time, I have purchased and used over 60 rolls in PLA, PLA+ and PETG. During that time, I have never had a bad roll or experienced a roll winding issue. To me... It is one of the BEST Filaments available at an excellent price point. JAYO is manufactured by Sunlu and distributed under different name(warrantied thru Sunlu). SPLA is manufactured blending PLA and PETG to create a slightly strong and higher temp filament that prints easily like PLA.

Sunlu has been one of my favorite 3D Printer filaments and is in my TOP 5 BEST 3D Printer Filaments. Highly recommended for beginners or experienced 3D Print Users.

I am printing right now with V400 at 600mm/s and it works just fine. I can't believe it actually, it is grey PLA+ roll I bought 2 years ago and it was 10 or 12 Euro per roll. I have it at maximum temp, 230 degrees, bed 75 degrees and fan 80%. To not have any stringing I use retraction 3mm, travel speed 600 and acceleration 10000. First layer I layout at 60mm/s.

Hmm, I recently purchased a roll of this, and the eSun equivalent. I need to do a temp tower, since the temp you stated you use for this is way lower than what the manufacturer recommends, which I used. I noticed that the filament retains heat and stays mushy for far longer than any other PLA I have used. Scraping a failed print off the bed after 8 layers or so, I was able to bend the filament like dough for a loooong time before it set. I guess maybe they're a bit liberal in their temperature requirements in the material that ships with the spool...

Hi, thank you for this video.
I don't see any stringing when I look at the "Landspeeder Kit" at 1:04 on your printer. That's great.
Did you share a Cura Profile for it?
Thank You

Is sunlu strong enough like esun which is what most people use to print pistol receivers ?

I bought black filament with the MasterSpool in May 2021 from Amazon and it is brittle, did I get a bad batch?

I tried to print with Sunlu Clear Crystal PLA and it was a TOTAL DESASTER (2023). I never had any mentionable trouble with any other filament (Bamabu, Prusa, Amazon). But those filaments are a nightmare and nothing else. It's HORRIBLY made with lots of spots and differences in diameter. I bought three pcs and all are the same.

Stay away from this filament at any cost unless you want to run into trouble (and maybe a broken extruder).
