I lost my teenage son to depression recently and we played this song during a segment of his funeral service. It was a fitting song because our decision would have been the same as the main character, Louise, in this brilliant and heartbreaking movie

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I was just watching Shutter Island for the first time and this song played. I thought i was going crazy when i was reminded of this scene. I looked up Arrival's soundtrack and i couldn't find it! Surprised to find out its been featured in a series of cinematic projects. To a certain extent. Its such an amazing song, its really no wonder. It is going straight into my playlist :)
