In this context, I would like to mention that "empathy" can also be pathological, e.g. conditioned to compassion for one's own survival. Which leads me to another point, namely growing up with female caregivers/family members such as mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, etc. who are self-centered, lack empathy, seek attention and power, behave abusively, which is just as possible in a matriarchal society (e.g. Mongolian) as in a patriarchal one. In my opinion, this form of abuse is not a consequence of patriarchy. Thank you for this interesting and inspiring interview! <3
