There are too many resources out there going over how to start programming, but they talk about everything that has to do with programming and software development. I just want to help you get started programming, and then we can worry about you becoming an actual programmer/software developer. But first, let's start off with the basics.

I mentioned that we'd talk a bit about languages and IDEs/text editors to use, so here's a list. If you use a different setup, please, share it below and feel free to add anything to the list that I left out.
Swift & Xcode
Kotlin/Java & Android Studio
C++ & CodeBlocks
Java & Eclipse (OR NetBeans)
Python & PyCharm (OR Spyder)
HTML/CSS/JS & VS Code (OR Atom OR Sublime Text)

Choosing your language and tools based on what you want to build is by far the best advice for anyone starting out. I learned web development because my friend wanted a website and it sounded like fun. It took me awhile to learn, but since I wanted to do it, the entire process was enjoyable. Fast forward to present day, and I am living and breathing web development everyday.

That awkward moment when someone says "you've gotta stop searching 'How to start Programming'" and that is literally what you did.

I always loved programming. I am 17 and always was thinking me getting a job like that. Starting tomorrow I will try my best and work on my self. Good luck to everybody (and me too ofc 🙂)

I think the best way to start is your intention, if you force yourself to code, you won't be as good as the rest. Passion is everything. Good luck coding!
EDIT: I am 15 yrs old and a volunteer learning little kids how to code and I really enjoy it!

Just have to get started! Start will learning the basics; variables, types, loops, conditionals. Creating small apps will keep you motivated.

Computer programming is not just about mastering a language, a tool, or whatever, programming is a lifestyle, is a way of living and thinking, is an identity. So maybe if you're the kind of extrovert person who likes to be outside, and get energy by being arounded with to many people, programming can be a little bit of hassle for this kind of personality. So be sure before aiming to become a programmer on knowing you type of personnality.

I'm not here sticking labels to anyone, but this is the truth. Don't chose any field just because you're taught to do so, every fields hold some persona caracteristics, so find if these characteristics fits you as well.

Then, you can create a blue print for your success, follow the masters and start by mimicking them, and find your best style of learning.

I appreciate your video. Every video talked about where I should start, but not why I should start there. I know my plan and the way you framed how to tackle the problem gave me a clear roadmap. Thank you so much!

I'm in my first year of high school and have been wanting to make a game for a while. I was originally just gonna hire somebody to do the code and I would do the visuals for the game, but I decided if I learn programming a little bit it'll probably be pretty helpful in the long run and if something is messed up in the code it'll be on me and not somebody else. I just had no idea where to start so this is pretty helpful

That was a very honest explanation of what we really do. Thanks! I started to feel guilty of just googling fricking everything.
