Petition to end the term double eagle. Doesn't even make any sense. Albatross. It is called an Albatross. And its awesome.

I’ll never forget watching one of my best friends sink an albatross on a par five at Shenvalee. So glad I was there to witness it.

How can you have "best albatrosses of all time" and not include Louis Oosthuizen albatross at the Masters in 2012 at hole number 2 ???

I got an albatross one day a few years ago. It was a tough par 3...I'll never forget it.

The "Best" ones are always where the pro is hitting a 3 wood in. When you are knocking a 6 iron or 8 iron in, sure its amazing but holing a full blast 3 wood is always better.

Calling an albatross a double eagle is like calling an eagle a double birdie. Actually its worse, double birdie for an eagle at least makes mathematical sense.

I definitely prefer this camera angle for these shots. Gives a great perspective.

Calling it a double eagle is akin to the misused term 'I could care less'.

I know they had they best at the time and to them it was the height of technology but it’s amazing what those older golfers did with the equipment and balls they had.

About 70 years ago, my mother and father played golf separately in the mens and ladies competitions. One day they both scored a hole in on the same par 3. They didn't know until the end of the day it had happened. What are the odds of that?

I worked for a man in Conroe TX who had 6 (maybe more) double eagles in his time and he was not a pro and a very humble man.

It has to be an amazing feeling, especially on the 18th hole.

incredible all these albatrosses and I really like the last one where we see the commentators celebrating 😂

Lowery's was at the International in Colorado, I was there the day before, dangit! Wild wacky finish (Lowery didn't win, Rich Beem did)

Albatross is the correct term. Double Eagle is just wrong!

I was thinking the name albatross comes from the way the bird looks with its long downward pointing bill - like the number 2.

Any shot where the commentator says "double eagle" should automatically be excluded from a GOAT list.

Witnessed Shrek (Louis Oosthuizen) sink one on the long 2nd, Day 3 2012 Master’s as those shots will certainly energize the crowd every time. 🍻🇺🇸👏🏻🇺🇸🍻
