Lowery's is the one that I'll never forget. He'd already made birdie from a water hazard on 14 and holed out for eagle on 15. I remember thinking to myself, "I wouldn't be surprised if he holes this, " just before he hit his second shot on 17. I'd never anticipated an albatross before and I haven't anticipated one since. Lowery was just unbelievable during that stretch of 4-5 holes. Too bad he missed the putt to win or we'd probably still be talking about it.

I live in the US and always have and this is the first time I’ve ever heard it referred to as a double eagle. Even in Golfing games (i.e. everybody’s golf/hotshots) it’s called an albatross. Idk why they would call it double eagle

Wouldn’t a double eagle be -2 + -2, meaning a condor 🤔

Not to add fuel to the fire, but it IS kind of annoying how all but one of those commentators referred to it as a double eagle and not the official 'Albatross'
