Jack Nicklaus: "Happiness is a 200 yard walk carrying a putter"

These Guys: "No Jack, happiness is a 200 yard walk carrying nothing!"

Nice to hear 3 under par being called an Albatross rather that bs double eagle.

Imagine hitting an albatross when no one was around to see it, I was playing single one time and joined up with a father/son duo ahead of me and two holes later made my first hole in one, it was nice to have witnesses...

I just hit a 240 yard albatross on PGA Tour 2k23...best shot I've ever made on the game by far...

The Bubba Watson and Camilo Villegas shots here were so good I had watch them twice.

Summer 2020 I was playing Oakland Greens in Norwood ON. My wife was driving the cart and enjoying being in nature while watching me play. I get up to a 500 yard par 5 with a storm rolling in with insane heavy winds helping off the tee. Pumped a cut down the fairway that left me 115 left to the pin. Took out my 54 degree and hit a great shot that one hopped and went right in the hole for an albatross. I freaked out with glee as my wife watched in bewilderment as I sprinted to the green yelling "I got an albatross OMG". She took out the camera and helped document the event. What a feeling. I have 2 hole in ones but they didn't compare to the rare albatross I had that day. You never know when something special on the golf course will happen.

I did not realize golfing was so easy. I think I'll get some clubs and give it a go!

Double eagle, albatross, whatever you want to call it, it’s a really big bird. Classic

I'm a life-long golfer . I've always thought a "double eagle" should be four under, not three under. Just call it an Albatross.

"It's a really big bird." Lmao that was so funny

Hole-in-one gets more hype, but the albatross is a lot more impressive. It requires a great drive, then something equivalent to a long hole-in-one right after. The scorecard agrees I suppose since it gives a -3 rather than the -2 of a hole-in-one.

Crazy but true. I have never had a hole in one. I had two albatrosses in the same week on the same hole at my club two summers ago. Almost the same spot off the tee. Same club, 5 iron from 195 or so. Couldn't believe the first one. Thought I was dreaming on the second.

I never liked how us Americans call it a double eagle, I always thought an albatross sounded much cooler Haha. So, that's what I've always called it.... not that I've ever ben lucky enough to make one

As a high, high handicap golfer, this video put a big smile on my face.
Even with a near 30 handicap, I've come close to getting a hole in one. But it usually takes me at least three shots to get near the green on a par 5, so these double eagles are special.

Why do they call it a double eagle? It’s clearly a triple birdie

When I got my albatross I was 200 yards out. Hit my 4 iron and it looked good tracking. I couldn't see the hole at all so I had no idea I had just done it until I walked up. I couldn't find my ball on the green so I thought it rolled off. My buddy said check the hole and sure enough! I was thrilled!

Let's be honest, these were ALL the albatrosses from the tour.

I've watched this video closely and studied the players' tendencies deeply. My takeaway is simple. Wear some combination of pink blue or purple in your outfit to increase your chances... You also have an outside change with grey lol.

Why do they call it a "Double Eagle"?
Eagle is -2. Albatross is -3. Double of -2 is -4. A Hole In One on a par 5 is a Double Eagle.
