You should check manga chapter 0. When Vennessa asked Venti about Celestia, Venti had serious expression on his face about three shadowy figures in Celestia, that I suspect are the other three shades of Primordial One. There's a possibility that the shades (except Istaroth) were betraying Primordial One

i really like this theory. cuz i have trusted this for a long time. just that ppl who don't read lores never believe it. teyvat is getting very big that's why its hard to ppl to follow the lore. until any popular lore reader pointed it out, then they will believe the new theory. or else they will argue with the old af theories with a lore reader with no evidence., which is very troublesome cuz they arguing with them makes us lore readers feel stupid.

What if the Unknown God is actually an ally? She knows that if the twins go on to another world "Celestia" might kill the god of that world like what happened to Tevyat's first god, and she took the twins power before Celestia could and now she's just watching the twins grow more power in order for both of them to fight Celestia (Aether gaining the power of all the elements) while (Lumine builds an army to fight alongside with)

There are probably infinite elements in Teyvat. The difference is whether the element's god is an Archon or not.

For example, using elemental sight and other sources, we can so-far confirm 4 element-like powers:
• Light (light yellow, e.g. enkanomiya)
• Dark (dark purple, e.g. inverted statue)
• Abyssal/Khanriehn (dark blue, e.g. dainsleif)
• Cubes? (dark red, e.g. unknown god)

We especially see the Abyssal/Khanriahn "element" a LOT. Dainsleif, teleport waypoint, domain doors (normal domains + small event doors). The same goes for all the others.

Maybe its just me but I have a feeling that the ley line trees are all parts of the time god's consciousnese as they are not part of celestia control and they contain the world's memories that in theory should be part of the time gods memories so maybe like the sacred sakura is makoto's consciousness the mysterious ley line tree is istaroth's. Her consciousness cannot be corroded as she is the god of time like the ley lines which contain memeories. Additionally the tree is hidden deep under teyvat hidden from celestia. Edit: Also the spiders that lives in them also may have properties that prevent corrosion

Watching this makes me think of a few things:

- I wonder if Paimon is the product of erosion rather than a being that went through erosion? Much like how the remnant of Azhdaha possessed Kun Jun?

- "A poem says that a star once fell to the earth, forming this lake. But other tales say that even the stars that shine as bright as the Anemo Archon's eyes will fall into this lake." (The Marsh of Celestial Guardians; viewpoint description for Starfell Lake). What star fell to the earth I wonder, by which 'Celestial Guardians' are inferred?

- The recent event where Kichiboushi mistakenly calls her Spymon/Byemon/Paimore - foreshadowing?

Having no time element does sound reasonable when you look at it from meta POV or something, cuz the abyss is already a pain in the head... Tho I really hope Istaroth will be playable, cuz she sound like someone who is really strong. Maybe she will do the same reactions like Anemo, but have a unique abilities that is heavily related to time or something, who knows.... Really looking forward to any more infos about her!

if istaroth becomes a playable character, i will literally skip many banners for her.

Heyy, I have a really Wild Theory (no evidence or support to stand it).
"What if Istaroth actually hide herself or move forward to the future until the Traveler finish his/her journey and met his/her sibling? Maybe Istaroth, The God of Time, know about Travelers (Lumine & Aether) will come and need her help to free humanity from the clutches of Heavenly Principles?"
This is really wild Theory, but I think it's still possible since Traveler already act against some Heavenly Principles and will against the Celestia itself.

The 8th Element is already present and visible in game, but we have never fully noticed it because is split in 2. Light and Darkness. One cannot exist without the other, they form a whole, but they maintain their own identity. We all saw who is the holder of the Light, althought we all thought that the golden light was just Geo element ( even when we had our Traveller set on Aenemo or Electro), in the Jade Chamber quests and in the plane of Euthimya. And we all saw who is carrying the Darkness power, aka the Abyss sibling, the one the Traveller wish to be reunited with. After all...the twins are not humans, they trascend visions, space...and even time. ;)

One thing you said is god of time was forgotten because people’s memories were erased but it was in fact because the Lawrence Clan tarnished the records and how fires destroyed Mondstadt’s library (records of Istaroth). Remember that people in Enkanomiya still remember Istaroth because she was sage Aberaku’s teacher and taught him how to build the Dainichi Mikoshi. It could have been because future people of Mondstadt slowly forgot about her because there was little to no evidence of her existence, or that Barbatos was all they remembered as their god because of his statue and the Anemo vision.

My theory is for humanity to progress, the gods and archons must teach the humans to be independent. This was most evident during the latest Lantern Rite where Liyue defended itself without the help of the adeptus unlike the last lantern rite. Or how Barabtos rarely appears to his people nowadays.

Is it just me or does Isaroth kinda feel like the cool aunt that lets you get away with so many things lol

Yo the official genshin comic actually mentions the "primordial ones" (when Vanessa asks about celestia).

This makes so much sense! And it made me think... The twins are from another world, and they are apparently not vulnerable to erosion, cuz in his first story quest, Zhongli wanted the traveller to be the witness of the "things he ends" talking about the gods and creatures he killed and stuff, to keep records, because stone, and even himself, might disappear. He said smt around those lines and it retrospect he was clearly talking about erosion and this must mean that the twins are invulnerable to it, contrary to everything from teyvat, and so they don't follow the heavenly principles.

So... the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles may have attacked the twins as a way to, of course, enforce the heavenly principles, eliminating the one thing that isnt vulnerable to erosion: these "aliens" we play as. She even says that "the arrogation of mankind ends now" implying that, by attacking them/taking their powers, she is, ofc, ending the arrogation of mankind. Would this arrogation be... their invulnerability of erosion? cuz it technically makes them be over everyone else, they aren't following the rules placed on everyone else.

Have you noticed how Erosion destroys and changes memories, while the Ley Lines, something Celestia destroys when they get the chance, actually keeps them? BTW, your end argument can be refuted by your point that both Makoto and Ei were gods of Eternity, and Ei is known as Beelzebub, another demon from Ars Goetia. Nothing impedes Paimon to be another goddess of Time, or even be a sibling of Istaroth.

There will be implement of new element and weapon type in future, this is MiHoYo after all. Honkai impact is the fine example (new weapon and new battlesuit type). High likely there will be scythe/ gauntlet / chakram in genshin 🤔

If Paimon really was the god of time, i'm sure she'd want people to believe that "Paimon is Paimon" and not some op higher being
