Thanks for the tutorials. I'm still confused though by how you can just edit the UV map, bake it in high poly and how does it just work with the default game low poly? Shouldn't the UV islands you deleted or resized look like other parts of the skin you textured? Shouldn't that create glitches in some instances? It was confusing because you showed the UV editing with thompson but then switched to coffee can helmet so I couldn't compare the early process with final result. Say I rebuilt a high poly from the ground up, how the hell do UV maps just line up with the format Rust expects?
