Really reminds me when I was in 7th grade. I went home for lunch and something happened at school and the blame went straight to me, despite me not even being in the building at the time. What sticks out to me is the cop literally making things up to try and get me to confess to what happened.

I simply told them "I wasn't there, there are cameras to prove I wasn't there". They found the culprit later that week, but still no apology was given to me. Thankfully both the principal and vice principal who were the first to point fingers were fired the following year when everything concluded. I couldn't care less as I had already moved on to high school at that point.

As a teenager, they’re ALWAYS hitting you with “where are you going/where have you been”.

KEEP YOUR CAR CLEAN. They always profile your car first. When they find your car unkempt you’re an easy target as you may be a sloppy guy and prone to “forget” something you shouldn’t have.

I once had a conversation with a cop about this, he said in no way does it help them to know where you've been or where you're going or what you're doing but a drunk or drugged person will likely spill the beans making it easier for them to implicate themselves. If you are neither, just plead the fifth.
