great video. It also does not rise up, as you're dropping the frequency of sparks. The power output is identical prior to and after the capacitor, but with capacitor, you build up more charge prior sparks jumping. Thus the louder noise. However, it drops the frequency too low to form an arc, which no longer travels upward.

This would be really cool:
Buy a really low powered airsoft/pellet gun. (Around 150fps) go to somewhere you can drive really quick, like a test track or something. Speed up to 102 mph and shoot in the opposite direction to the direction of travel. What will happen to the pellet. Will it just drop to the floor? Record it from outside the car with a stationary camera.
