One of the greatest Star Wars games on N64, took me over a year get gold medals on every stage but it was worth it. If they ever re-release this in a collection or remastered/ remake, I’d do it again lol.

Here we finally have Star Wars: Rogue Squadron! It's my fourth and final upload of the Star Wars games released on the Nintendo 64 and I'm glad to announce that all four games can now be found in high quality on this channel.

It's not a full gold medal run but I made sure to re-do a few stages that I felt had too poor of a performance. I think it's a pretty fun game overall, with the exception of some stages being a tad too difficult. The gold medals are however even more challenging and not something I'd suggest to casual players to bother with. Especially considering the fact that the bonus stages which are unlocked by obtaining all medals can also just be unlocked using in-game cheats (which is what I did).

Ironically, one thing worth pointing out is that there are hidden power-ups in some stages that make your secondary weapon stronger or add extra health permanently. It's an absolute necessity to have the seeking cluster missile power-up for the final stage and considering I never knew about these power-ups and therefore missed collecting all of them, I ended up using a cheat off-screen to unlock all of them. In theory, I could've made it a lot easier for myself to obtain the power-ups earlier in the game but they wouldn't have made the recording much better so I decided against re-doing the whole thing. Whether I hit an enemy using a regular missile or a seeker missile doesn't change much... and having less health than I could've had just added extra challenge lol. Keep in mind that these power-ups only concern the secondary weapon, not your main firepower.

Lastly, incase you're wondering, yes the famous sequences had to be muted for copyright reasons. Last time we kept that audio in, they'd block mobile viewers which is the majority of our audience. Plus, you'd see 40 ads being spammed in the video that aren't by our choice.

Thank you for doing these long plays. The N64 is a little before my time, I’m 24 currently, but the n64 and SNES were what I had when I was a kid. My brother wouldn’t let me play his PS3(2) so I was stuck playing the n64, but I had access to countless games for it. This one was one of my favorites, I feel like I’m time traveling to back then when I watch your videos.

I grew up a introvert and played a lot of n64 games and this one has a lot of awesome memories and countless hours of game play to get all the gold

I still have this game and beaten it all. But getting gold medals was a real pain in the neck in some levels.

Luke: Nice work, Rogue Squadron. We might make a name for ourselves after all!
Also Luke: *literally just got done destroying the mother-humping Death Star*

Why didn't you ever use the turbo to move faster between areas of the map?
This game has a button to make the ship accelerate and move quickly.

It's amazing what they were able to pull off given the limitations of the N64.

I love your play style!
Many guys who uploaded this video are playing very smart and knowing how to get a gold medal
But you are just shooting, just eliminating, like when I was a boy!
Your aim is a bit terrible compared to my childhood, but I feel so great anyway! Thank you for reminding me my childhood!

I'd rather watch a friend play through this masterpiece. Too bad I got no friends, so LPA it is then

Half the fun was shooting down your allies. I'm already but my fighter is down. It's too bad they didn't have an insult line after shooting them down.
