thought this game had interestingly enough bonus missions worth showing so I decided to include them along with the main story. Unfortunately, the last bonus mission is this really lame Endurance mode which I was basically forced to complete as well for the video. I used cheats to get infinite lives but it still took 3 hours to get done, which is absurd. The cutscene you get to see after completing that mission is nothing worthwhile either. But hey, there you go. Now you don't have to bother with it yourself.

This game and it's sequel had some of the best non-film Star Wars music

So nice to see not only the third, but also the second, because I only played the original in the N64...

When you destroyed yourself in wave 99 it made me laugh. I could really feel the force with that one. Such anger, such hate.

Only thing now is every time I play this on the same mighty Nintendo Gamecube have now owned for 20 years and it's still working. I don't think they realised people were still going to play this and the other games (Rebel Strike, Clone Wars) that go with this in the series after so many years later. Although now have to add in the date and times of day on each time switching on because it's well past the days where years ago it would remember. I don't think they realised back then they created the Gamecube to last as long as the Great Pyramids. Always loved that the training scenery changes to the different times of day or night that you actually play it. Scenes change from early Morning, around midday, just before Sunset, and night And certain games are different depending on the time of night or day when you play it. Sometimes rather than training just go for a total chilled out flight in a T-16 along with Tatooine music and do nothing. What I love is these games take no prisoners. You think you've learnt it over time, yet it will always fight back so it's never a guarantee. It was playing these games some years ago when was on the Bus travelling past Cardington Airship Sheds to Bedford (Bedfordshire). Someone asked what on Earth was a Structure outside one of the Sheds. I replied after playing these games in all innocence looks to me like it might be a Rebel Base on Yarvin 4. Word got round that I said it was a Rebel base, whilst I was desperately trying to explain that I never said that it was but just looks like one. In the end turns out it was a Rebel base on Yarvin 4. 🙂

Somewhere, in another universe, Pandemic & Factor 5 could've teamed up to bring us an amazing Star Wars: Battlefront...

The first time I booted up the game, I couldn't figure out why the cutscene just kept having Luke's X-wing fly straight, that's when I realized I was looking at in-game graphics and was like "Woah."

Factor 5 was an incredible studio before Sony sabotaged them and then threw them under the bus to save face.

I remember when this was in development, Factor 5 and Naughty Dog were asked, which is better PS2 or GameCube. Factor 5 said the GameCube had superior ram, and that for each data cache, they only had to make 1 rendering pass. While Naughty Dog said the cpu was superior in the PS2. Also, for each data cache they made 7 rendering passes. But the plus side is they could make something look better.
