Immediately saved this guide. Was having issues with herbas in the past cuz I only ever got spicy, as well as confusion with ingredients. Hunting for Roaring Moon was a pain because I used the dragon recipe and wound up with a ton of Gible spawns, but I already found Crumbs my shiny Garchomp. Now with the smoked fillet, I can isolate Roaring Moon, Zweilous, and Sableye. Wish me luck.

Had no luck using the outbreak method. I've done this today and caught 3 shinies within the 30 mins! 2 Sneasels and 1 Murkrow! Thanks!!

This is my fifth try making an electric sandwich and even after following right along with you, I get Catching Power instead of Encounter Power. Do the herbs make a difference there? cause at one point i even had all my boosted types be steel so I’m not sure what the issue is, never had a problem before this

EDIT: I found a Spicy Herba and followed the same recipe and this time it worked so it seems like theres still some sort of requirement on which ones you use. I was using Sweet/ Sour first btw

My question is how do Jefé's recipes gain the mono type buffs? Is that locked behind the use HM? Because I notice it doesn't receive the mono type buffs until you use 2 HM.

Tl:Dr are mono-typing(with or without) egg-power possible without the use of HM?

Does the herba mystica in fact matter or something?

OBS! This method is really good, but not 100% consistent. For rock example I needed two Sour Herba Mystica. My brother had to do over 10 different sandwiches to get both Sparkling Power Fairly Lvl 3 and Encounter Power Fairy Lvl 3. Some recipes need specific Herbas, but no Salty Herbas which is nice. Seems like there's some RNG element to some of the recipes. But it's Scarlet & Violet after all.
