I'd like to know how you extrapolated from the text that the paralytic was somehow complacent or even resistant in wanting to change? I read in John 5:7, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Indicating to me that he indeed has tried, but someone else always beats him to the punch, so to speak; and no one else is willing to help him... so again, @2:47 how do you get "do you really want this? Or are you comfortable with begging for charity?" I'm not seeing that in the scripture. Are you assuming this simply because Jesus asks him, "Do you want to be made well?" Please clarify.

The Chosen is a pretty terrible series. They teach things that are not in the Bible. Would appreciate it if you could remove the clip of their "Jesus" from this video.
