My parents are trying to have me cosign a 5 year loan with them so I can buy a car. They insist on a 2016 model or newer cause they want the car to be "safe" and also don't want a repair nightmare. The price range is around 20k and I plan to put 5k or more on a down payment. I'm nervous because this is my first car and my first loan.
