FIRST DRIVE: The Traverse is a midsize SUV that is gets a redesigned for 2024 from Chevy. This 3-row midsize SUV competes with the Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-90, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder and Kia Telluride. On the outside you will find the first 22in wheels offered on a Traverse, quad-tip exhaust and black accents. On the inside you will be greeted by a 17.7in infotainment system and RS specific interior materials. Under the hood is a 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 328HP and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse RS a BETTER midsize SUV than a Kia Telluride?

@Raiti's Rides you need to address the greed factor these auto companies are starting to embrace with their "pay-to-play" features. I have been a loyal GM customer for over 30 years. I, for one, will be looking for an alternative to GM next time because I am not interested in a monthly bill in order to use the features of the vehicle I already paid for. It may prove impossible to purchase a new auto without, in which case, I will be actively searching the used market for a suitable older vehicle and i will happily do whatever I need to maintain it. The thought of purchasing a $60, 000 auto and then having to pay a fee to use it's installed options is just one step too far in my book and I am certain there are many who agree with me. The key with the Chevy brand, JMO, is to offer enjoyable quality that's affordable for us middle class folks (esp in today's economy). It's always been this way with Chevy. As long as Chevy doesn't price itself out of the market, it will compete well. GM should be proud of its work on the Traverse, btw.

Awesome car, but 57K is pretty steep...Since you get the same engine, i'd personally opt for the awd LT without Supercruise and save 14k. I think 45k is more in line with a sensible cost.

Nice review and love when talking about back in the day Chevy rides !! and yes the Wiper at the rear has to go ... I have a 2021 Tahoe RST and is hidden at the top.

Just bought one! I love this car. So smooth and the features are off the hook. was worried about the 2.5 L engine but man it feels like I am driving a V6. Great pickup and power. The engine is a little loud and you can hear it ion the cabin when the RPM's get over 2800 but i don't mind, my wife does, but I don't.

Joe, as always, an amazing and helpful review, thank you! What I don't get is you always Zonking an exposed rear wiper. What's wrong with that? I've been waiting for the new Traverse since the end of last year while owning 2019 model, which I loved! Gave up waiting, bought 24 Nissan Pathfinder SL Premium Package. Absolutely love it, can't wait to get up in the morning and drive to work. Still miss my Traverse only because of its larger interior room and a smoother ride...
