This game has a nice look to it, but seems much more mechanical than thematic. For me, if a game is to be thematic, its mechanisms need to dissolve into the background. I didn't feel like this happened here. Reading the passages in the book is the source of its thematics, but choose-your-own adventure RPG books have accomplished this at a price of under $10. Thank you for the playthrough.

Thanks for showing this game I have been really interested in this. Love the look of this and the story seems really interesting it just feels a bit to complicated for me at the moment. I have to many big complicated games I would love it if these types of games could be more slimmed down in the rules and complexity sometimes to make a more stream lined game experience. Makes a game easier to get to the table more often to. At least it looked really complex and heavy from the game play video but I might be wrong.

I'm on the fence about this game. It looks great, but the gameplay is just reading, and the fights looks to be few and far between and confusing when they do happen.

I really appreciate this play-through. The game seems rather clunky, I'd like to play it as computer game through.

The card play still seems pretty bad… why are the starting decks unplayable by the starting characters? - they don’t have the base stats to even chain their cards
