If you're drawn to a career where you can help others and create social change - have you considered working for a nonprofit, or do you currently work for one?

I love this video..I recently obtained my Masters in Public Administration..currently a counselor at a maximum security prison. I would love to advocate for those incarcerated while working for a nonprofit. I am actively applying any advice?

What are your thoughts on the day to day of what you do? I'm struggling with the idea of "being stuck at a desk" but then again that's where you do all the planning and strategic work that I find interesting.
