Awesome concept. Crazy pricing. No regular family can afford to pay that subscription or that $1k to purchase it. C’Mon Mill, let’s make it affordable to the general public.

I can tell a lot of people in the comments have never grown anything. “You can think of Food Grounds as rocket fuel to drive microbial processes in the soil. They should be managed accordingly.” -Mill
Mill has an app that comes with my Mill that shows me how to use it in my soil or gardens.
You don’t have to give them the FG! They will educate you how to use this organic material. It’s great for me so far because I’m trying to grow vegetables and in Phx, our dirt needs more nutrients. This is perfect for me.

The ad said “What happens when leaders from Apple, Nest and Uber….” And yes, this very much sounds like those companies coming together to make something that works but is also so terribly backwards that it makes ZERO sense.

The mill composter is a great idea if it does its thing with very low energy. But then shipping the compost off? Doesn't that obliterate any waste benefit by the waste of packaging and fuel for shipping? Personally, I just throw my food waste out for our chickens.

You expect people to pay monthly fees, use their electricity just so you can sell that feed to farms or claim to donate it? Good luck

When I first watched the video I thought I will pe paid for the product that the Mill produces overnight because it is using my electricity, then later realized I am charged per month :(
We will seee how that business can succeeded..

Hey whoever is in charge where's your website or a place to buy? This can't be a real company

Get a Lomi. This is like giving your solar energy back to the grid, when its more likely a better idea to keep it yourself and use it. No shipping necessary. I could see someone in a city without a yard or plants where a heavy amount of compost could be useful to a local farm though. Home composting should be thought of more as a convenient way to make something good of a stinky situation, and get rid of it w/o the garbage truck. Rather than creating your own soil. Regenerate the soil around you by feeding it! Home compost still needs to be diluted with regular soil at a ratio of 1 : 10 in order to grow plants.

I love it but that membership? I’m out. I’m sure it pays for great causes but that’s too much of a commitment. I mean, do I have to return the bin to cancel?!

You can make smoothies with the leftovers.

This is stupid, I promise you the energy wasted to boil off the extra water, grind it down, AND ship it is hurting the environment more than just tossing it in the garbage. Unreal.

Seems expensive for what’s effectively a bread machine. I bet there are more unwanted bread machines than there are people willing to pay $33 a month to post scraps to a farm. I don’t expect there’s much to the “secret process”.

Somehow, I don't think this post received the attention intended. Oh, it's not about Jim's voiceover?

I would like the system but would like to keep my own compost and buy it outright 😊

Better to advocate for compost pickups in your community than it is to do this
