I've been a CNC programmer for 40 years. This video is just great. She made me smile ear to ear.

This young lady explained everything directly and kept it simple throughout the lesson. No excessive explanations (or distracting examples) which made this EXTREMELY easy to follow. Fantastic job!

Well I am a red seal machinist with 25 years experience on manual machines. At work we just purchased a Haas mill and your video help this old guy to understand how to set tools and work offset zero. Thanks! Great job. Hope your professor gave you 100%

I have been a CNC Programmer / Machinist for over 25 years and I found this very intuitive. Her smile at the end was just gorgeous. Well Done.

You might think that every CNC Machinist with 5+ years of experience should have at least a solid grasp of all the techniques shown here. The honest truth is, don't get your hopes up. If you are hiring, and you come across someone with this level of competency, that person might be a good candidate to be a shop lead . Not even kidding.

I start my first day as a CNC machine apprentice tomorrow. This is a very helpful introduction to prepare me for what's to come (:

I really enjoyed watching this video, I went to college for CNC machining and programming and have spent the last eleven years working in the same machine shop. There's always something new to learn while working in a machine shop.

Whats amazing about this video is that its well planned out and executed. Nothing but your key points. She covered pretty much everything without making the vidro boring. If i wasn’t already a machinist, i would have to say i would have learned sn exceptional amount of info off this video. Well done

Here we have a young female on a CNC machine, a rare sight, doing a video to inspire the younger generation that they too can learn something great and this comment section is riddled with typical fools who think they know it all. Nobody knows it all, you become better with time and dedication. No school or degree can teach you everything when it come to real world experience. Instead of arguing what method or machine is better give this young woman some tips and inspire her to keep learning and let her know how amazing this trade is. Grow up! nobody cares how good you think you are!

Excellent and precise training! Loved it! I started off as a machinist then started using CAD/CAM back in the early 80s. Fast forward now, I have been selling and supporting CAD/CAM for over 40 years. Watching her provide this training was awesome! Wish more instructors were this precise and talented. She is the best CNC instructor that I have ever seen.

Excellent video. She obviously knows the tech inside and out to be that comfortable discussing it. I've been a machinist / programmer / production engineer, for 40 years and am always happy to see young people learning the trade.
Here are some tricks that you may want to try, to make your life easier in the future, when machining plastics.
To get rid of the plastic chip wrap, reduce the spindle speed on the drilling can cycles. Change the G81 to G83, or G73, add a "Q" value to the can cycle to break the chip, and if all else fails, at the end of each drilled hole cycle, have the tool rapid up above the part 2.000", insert an M4 (stops and reverses the spindle) in the program. With the 1, 000 psi coolant blasting on the tool, it'll spin the clump of chips off the drill. Then you can insert an M3 to stop the spindle, and restart it in the clockwise rotation, and move on to start drilling the next hole. That way the flutes of the drill will be free of any melted stock when it starts the next hole, and the chips won't build up above the flutes of the drill and be burned into the top of the part.
Hope these tips help you in the future.
Take care.

Probably one of the best tutorials I've ever watched. To the point and super informative in the use and safety of the machine. Thanks a lot.

That is quite possible the best introductory video I have ever seen. The young woman clearly understood what was going on and was able to articulate it without gargon. 10/10

This video will be almost perfect for my CNC Machinist program. Sara did a fantastic job presenting this material. Her explanations are clear, concise and quite correct in technique. We use positive TLO's rather than the negative TLO's Sarah set in the video, but not every shop uses a Tool Length Presetter. Thank you very much for making this material available to learning institutions.
