As someone who lived in the Twin Cities for nearly 40 years and was born and raised in Minneapolis I really appreciate how you've done this video. It's very respectful without being biased. It is also very fact filled and one of the most truthful videos I've ever seen about Minneapolis.

The state capitol in Saint Paul has the second largest self supporting dome in the world after Saint Peters Basilica

The parks in Minneapolis really are a treasure, so well maintained.

I agree about the skyway's downside, empty sidewalks with no exterior access to businesses. I get why but it's not great for tourism. Still, overall really great city.

Musician in Minneapolis here. The scene is really incredible and diverse… virtually something for every taste. Local musicians can work regularly and sell out local venues while also affording a decent quality of life. Prince definitely permeated the city with his sound and influence. Go see the legendary Combo at Bunkers Bar every Sunday night :)

Other things you could have mentioned is Minneapolis's vibrant music scene (give a shout out to First Ave), and that it's one of the most bike-friendly cities in the US

I love living here because it's like a small town inside a big city. The Mary Tyler Moore Show wasnt mentioned and she's very famous in Minneapolis. There's a Mary Tyler Moore statue in downtown.

The skyline is most impressive.
Driving on hwy 35W past US Bank Stadium at about Sunset. 🌇
Just absolutely beautiful 🥰.
Great place to get a feel for all four seasons. ☀️🍁❄️🌧️
Cultures are greatly diverse.
Love it!
Thanks for doing this video 😊

I’ve lived in the twin cities area for more than three quarters of my life, and you got a lot right! We do have a lot of cool museums, parks, and theaters. The spirit and atmosphere of Minneapolis is super impressive and I love it here.

A few things to note though as a local,
1: We accept the cold, and even enjoy it at times! It’s not that bad after a while.
2: Minneapolis style pizza isn’t impossible to eat, it just takes know-how! ;)
3: Fried cheese curds are delicious. Nothing more needs to be said.
4: We also have the largest airport in the upper Midwest. It is the HQ of Sun Country Airlines, and a hub of Delta Airlines!
5: If you can handle a bit of cold, you will love it here in Minneapolis/Minnesota. There are amazing experiences, food, and atmosphere in both twin cities. And Minnesota nice isn’t just a stereotype, everyone I’ve met here is awesome!

I've only been able to live in Memphis and visit other cities in the South. Minneapolis is one fascinating city that I'd love to visit if i had the chance.

Nice presentation. Thanks for mentioning "hotdish" which is a standard here. The lakes and Mississippi river have AWESOME parks (including areas of island/habitat restoration.) Everyone LOVES the skyways (especially in cold or rainy weather!) The Stone Arch Bridge is gorgeous and is great for walking and cycling with really beautiful views.

Nice video. I think you could have added the Midtown Greenway bike/ped pathway, Minneapolis' impressive network of bike connections and it's constant rank near the top as one of the best cities to bike ride in America. Would love to see you edit this video to simply add a shot of the amazing cantilever bridge feature of the Guthrie Theater, which offers the most amazing views of the Mississippi River (and access to that along with the bars and restaurants in the theater are free - you don't need to have a ticket to a show to explore this beautiful building). But thanks for featuring Mpls in your series!!!

I love the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden! Older viewers may recognize the Crystal Court from the Mary Tyler Moore opening.

Thanks for the nice video on Miniapolis.Recently I visited the city and lived there for 3 summer months from August to October 2023.
A very beautiful city with all worthy things in one city - Lakes, Forests, Mills, Theatres, Music, museums, , malls, sports, marine sports, food, beer, skyline , sky walk, Observation deck( Foshay tower), waterfalls, forts, farmer’s markets, giant grain elevators, industries and you name it you have it .
Above all a very friendly people in a calm city with priere plains and beautiful bluffs.
With so much reluctance I left the city for India, my native country.
