My first rag, sort of. The year before my parents bought me the Scott Joplin: Collected Piano Works collection for my 13th birthday, I played through a set of three simplified Joplin pieces arranged for easy piano by John Brimhall. The one that I distinctly remember playing was the easy version of Peacherine Rag. I've been jumping back and forth between early and late Joplin - next I'll dip into his first collaborations with Arthur Marshall and Scott Hayden.

I YOUR INTERPRETATION OF PEACHERINE. Your pace is wonderful and it just looks like you’re having a wonderful time playing it 💕

A really lovely rendition and, thankfully, you haven't made the error so many people make with these rags - you haven't played it at breakneck speed :-)

Nothing is forced or overdramatized! 💕
