A week ago I got recommended the guy that repaired an SEM from like 1970 the size of a small room and I think 100k max zoom and now I get this guy just casually having one the size of a mini fridge do 250kx. And now I want one.

This is the biggest nerd flex I have ever witnessed. If I could choose between a supercar and this, its this. Not even close.

My dream consumer definitions have been updated. Electron microscopes have always fascinated me, they have so many uses and open up a world of discoveries. I am happy to know that, increasingly, they have become compact and accessible to the general public and not only for labs. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

I was in Winterthur, Switzerland, three weeks ago and visited the Technorama. On the 2nd or 3rd floor, I explored the biology "i think" department, which was truly fascinating. However, I was specifically there to see the electron microscope (SEM). I asked two young gentlemen if it was possible to turn it on, and they kindly did. The specimens we examined included a fly and a leaf, and we discussed how they gold-coat objects to make them easier to scan. The gold layer enhances visibility, which was really interesting to learn. It was a great experience overall.

Forget space, the little picture is 'the bigger picture'.
Amazing such equipment is accessible to the individual and in such a small package.

Great video! Looking forward to seeing what you do next...

Can you look at cells and intracellular organelles?

Probably costs about $1 per x of magnification. I have microscope envy. Velcro, wolfram filament from a lightbulb, beard hair, maybe a seed?, string and needle.

Really thank you for sharing this video. I was on the fence about buying but I went ahead and bought the SNE Alpha to scratch off my electron itch. Can't wait for this to arrive at my home
