So as the atoms separate are the ones that disappearing sheding their electrons to the atoms around them? But wouldnt that create a ton of energy, like atomic bomb level energy lol. Im actually seriously interested in learning whats happening to the atoms that disappear. I know they arent really being split lol but i don't know where there are going and why. I work on and build electronics/tube amps as a hobby but still have such an incredibly limited understanding of atoms and how they behave on the quantum level.
