What should you do if your car suddenly goes into a skid? To help teenagers prepare for emergency situations, Consumer Reports hosted a day-long driving course. This lesson teaches teens how to control their vehicle during a skid.

Lesson 1. Proper hands placement while driving should be in the position of 9 and 3 o'clock. Having your arms crossed, right hand reversed during emergency steering will cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle faster.

Awww I came here to learn how to stop or prevent a skid but I learnt nought. :(

@ktonkin3 maybe i missed it... she said turn in the direction you want to go, which to me says keep the front wheels oriented in the line you want to take... or am i just that much better of a driver than her that my mind autoproofread it?

either way, she needs to learn how to be more clear lol.
